The Sports Library of Finland is a research library specialised in the past and present of sports and physical culture. Books have been collected ever since 1904. At present the Library contains about 26,000 volumes.

The Sports Library subscribes to about 160 Finnish and foreign sports magazines. The stock collections of the Sports Library include back volumes of many sports magazines, the oldest dating from the 19th century.

The Sports Library of Finland is a lending library. Magazines and reference material are not lent out, however. The reference section includes yearbooks, histories of sports clubs and organisations and all material relating to the Olympic Games.

Donations of books and magazines relating to sports are heartily welcome.
